Human-Centered AI
My commitment to Human-Centered AI is the new reason for my existence after witnessing how Artificial Intelligence guided my recovery process and, at the same time, returned all my cognitive capabilities.
After the recovery, I used AI to detect and improve which movements might help me overcome the 4cm scar between the C6 and the T2 vertebrae.

Cognitive Psychology
I used extended AI-Agents and AI-Model Languages to understand complex neurologic and Central Nervous System definitions and terms to acknowledge how I would improve my conditions and recover an everyday life.
Without the support of AI-model medical trained models, it would have taken me years to understand the magnitude of my condition or cooperate with the physiotherapy and physiatric team who guided me during the entire process.

Artificial Intelligence played an essential role during my mental therapy, helping me reindex multiple cognitive processes, recover fluency in the four languages I used to speak daily and learn “one more time” how to code on Python.

My interest in Hybrid Intelligence, Human-centered AI and Data Governance began in Madrid during my studies at IE Business School. I had the opportunity to prototype machine learning models to support detecting neurological degenerative conditions.
In cooperation with neurologists, psychiatrists and psychologists from Madrid, Spain, I joined a polyvalent team that instructed me in applying AI to medicine and mental health. This project was why I chose psychology as my second bachelor’s degree.

Hybrid Intelligence Sensei. Isaías Blanco
On July 17th, 2024, during a Karate training session for my 1st dan at the mountain Waraira Repano in Caracas, I fell off around 12 meters on my back after rescuing a lady from an imminent death risk.
The impact resulted in spinal cord edema affecting the C6 cervical vertebrae to the T2 vertebrae. But even with such an injury, I managed to descend 1200 meters and find medical attention.
The magnitude of the traumatism compromised my body functions, resulting in quadriplegia and body paralysis from the neck to the bottom of my body.
The situation was quite critical when I arrived at the Emergency Room at the Metropolitan Polyclinic in Caracas. Fortunately, the fast procedures performed by Dr. Zerpa and Dr. Leal saved my life.
God and his infinitive power blessed, saved and guided me toward a positive recovery.
His mercy on me guided me with a humble attitude to accept his will. A couple of months after my complete recovery, it seems that I have to go through that process to experience the undescriptive feeling of being paralyzed to support any other mental health or neuromotor patient.
Also, I am using my background in Karate Shitō-ryū to help others embrace the strength of their minds and bodies.
